Joined the BBC Gramophone Department as one of four young people hired to launch the new music networks: Radios 1,2 & 3. he was the regular producer for, among other shows, Tony Blackburn, Noel Edmonds, Stuart Henry, Radio One Club and the Radio One Roadshows.

Promoted to Senior Producer Radio 1 - wrote and produced ‘The Story of Pop’ and ‘It’s DLT OK!’
